The Neem Tree Trust Grand Cricket Draw

The Neem Tree Trust Grand Cricket Draw to celebrate the charity’s 5th Anniversary took place at The Poplars Inn, Wingfield on Saturday 27th September 2008 and was sponsored by Wadworth Brewery. Mr Bernard Camish, publican of The Poplars, had made arrangements for us to have lunch before the draw took place and for photographs to be taken in the pub garden.

Three trustees of the charity, Ken and Kathy Miller and Pat Kinzett were there to oversee events and we were very pleased that Lloyd Stephens, Tenanted Trade Director of Wadworth, was able to come along to draw out the winning ticket.

The runner up tickets were drawn by Anthony Allom, the tallest man ever to play County Cricket, and James Hall, an MCC Member, both of whom came aptly dressed in their splendid cricketing blazers!!

The prizes and winners were:

First Prize: Limited Edition Print, bat, ball & gloves signed by the former England Cricket Captain, Michael Vaughan
Winner: Mr Peter Barfoot, Chichester

Second Prize: Bat signed by the 2008 Surrey Cricket Team.
Winner: Mr Ricky Fenby, Frome.

Third Prize: Miniature Bat signed by members of the Surrey Cricket Team.
Winner: Mr Albert Green, Bridgwater.

Fourth Prize: Miniature Bat signed by members of the Surrey Cricket Team.
Winner: Mrs Gilly Surr, Sheffield

We would like to thank everyone who bought tickets and who helped us make this event such a success. The charity raised nearly £900 to help the children we support in India.
